The Anjanapura double road is situated in doddakallasandra, it connects kanakapura road with bannerghatta road, Narayana Nagar to Gottigere. 

The 6.8km stretch from Narayan Nagar to Gottigere is in a pathetic condition. With metro connectivity coming into the picture the real estate near Kanakapura road, Bannerghatta Road and its surroundings are in high demand. The area has witnessed construction of large residential complexes and malls in the last few years and this road has become crucial for connectivity.

The road has been in bad condition for the last 12 years. The road hasn't seen any asphalt in all these years. However, BBMP, BMRCL, BWSSB have made the road worse by digging it in the last few years. The condition of the road has become very deplorable. It's difficult to walk or use vehicles here due to big craters and continuous stretches dug by BWSSB.

Public are stuck during emergencies as taxis, autos and recently even an ambulance refused to enter this road.

During covid, residents struggled to get ambulances to this road. In one such incident, the patient's attendant had to take them to kanakapura road by auto , to get into an ambulance waiting there. Any other emergency vehicles including the fire extinguishers find it difficult to come here. 

Residents can't book cabs, as cab drivers turn away their requests. Few residents who opt for metro services are forced to walk the station which is 800 meters away. Residents witness at least 2-3 minor accidents on this road each day. 

Residents residing in the periphery of the road have been living in a dusty environment; leading to several chronic diseases and breathing issues such as Asthma. Many of the residents have sold their plots in Anjanapura and surrounding areas because of the poor infrastructure of this road.

From the last 4 years several letters have been given to the local MLA krishnappa, the BDA chairman and the local BDA officers by all the local associations, all in vain. Each time an empty promise is made that the work would start in another couple of weeks and an amount in crores has been allocated for the project. 

Residents are now frustrated with this infrastructure. They demand for the entire infrastructure to be repaired immediately.

The following are the demands made by the residents. 

Demands :

• Make road motorable in one week (Do this temporary work before the tender process starts)

• Initiate the process of transferring the road and Anjanapura Layout to BBMP Immediately 

• Finish the tender process in One month

• Complete the entire road with the latest infrastructure including the Drains, footpaths and so on by the end of December 2021

• Initiate surveys to identify similar problems in the infrastructure of Narayan Nagar and Anjanapura RWAs and fix all of them by the end of December 2021

• Take action to replace the street lights poles to Alluminium poles in total stretch.

• Include the park development in the present tender.

• Regular maintenance of SWM waste
